FORT MYERS, FL — December 27, 2011 — Harvey Software, Inc. today released the annual National Carrier Updates to its Computerized Parcel System (CPS™) shipping software. Included in these updates are the latest 2012 rate tables for FedEx, SpeeDee, and UPS as well as several other product improvements and new features. All CPS users will need the updates in order for their license of the software to work correctly. The update is available beginning 11am today, December 27, 2011 and will remain optional for one (1) week. On or after Tuesday, January 2nd, 2012, this update becomes critical and essential for CPS to function properly.
“We’ve been doing the updates for years now, and we’ve found it works out well for our customers to let them complete the update at their own pace. We provide a window so that if there’s priority shipping that needs to take place, the update can be delayed for a few hours or days. The time needed to apply the update is minimal, and businesses will typically be able to ship as usual in just a few minutes,” said Dan Turbeville, COO at Harvey Software. “We would like to emphasize the importance of completing this update this week, since next week the timing will not be so flexible. 2011 rates expire this weekend, and since there are some pretty significant changes to the rates, our CPS users will want to make sure they are in compliance with carrier requirements by completing the update.
