“When we began the company in 1983 with a DOS shell application
which became a very popular product, we found ourselves needing a shipping solution

the time, automated shipping systems were generally based on computer systems

was PC-based software, we were one of the first companies to develop our own
PC-based shipping software system,” said Bert Hamilton, founder, President and

original DOS shell market was replaced very early on by advances in computer

software for ourselves, we quickly saw that we should shift our focus from the
PC utility market to supplying shipping software for small package retailers
and manufacturers. That turned out to be
a great decision as our CPS shipping software products became the tail wagging
the dog,” explained Mr. Hamilton. “We
never looked back. Once we focused on
the high volume shipping industry it became apparent that many more new tools
were needed. For example, we identified
and developed tools like SHIP eLERTs, RateBots, Smart RateBots, Flat Rate Shipping Calculator, BestWay Calculator, the Automator, Background Importing
and many other cutting edge solutions to help companies both large and small to
ship faster, increase their sales and do it all at the best possible
price. This industry has been good to us
with over 35,000 installs to date and I am really happy we have such loyal
